A solar boiler set is intended for installations where multiple solar components are combined directly as a complete package solution. Depending on the version, a set consists of one or more 30HP solar collectors, a domestic hot water cylinder or buffer tank, solar pipework, solar fluid, control setup, pump group and additional connection or mounting components.
The correct set depends on the required hot water capacity, number of users, available roof area, collector configuration, storage tank volume and selected backup heating. For individual system components, also review solar collectors and solar boiler accessories.
Important when choosing complete solar boiler sets
- Match the number of 30HP solar collectors to hot water demand and storage volume
- Choose between a set with domestic hot water cylinder or buffer tank with domestic water coil
- Check whether the set is suitable for backup heating via heat pump, boiler or electric element
- Check tank volume, heat exchangers, solar coil, hot water capacity and system temperature
- Check roof orientation, pitch angle, pipe length, solar fluid and insulation
- Check for each version whether a subsidy applies and review the current product details
- Have design, installation and commissioning carried out by a qualified installer

Solar boiler sets are available in different system configurations. Sets with a domestic hot water cylinder and heat exchangers are focused on sustainable domestic hot water preparation. Sets with a buffer tank and domestic water coil are useful when heat storage and domestic hot water preparation need to be combined. In addition, complete packages are available in which solar collectors, storage tank and ALPS EXCLUSIVE heat pump are offered together.
When selecting the right set, tank volume is not the only factor. Heat transfer and the type of backup heating are also important. A set with one collector and 200 or 300 litres of storage suits a different hot water demand than a set with two or three collectors and a larger storage tank.
